A Brief History:
I’ve been drawing since I could pick up a pencil, and then consequently covering any surface available in my own little masterpieces. Eventually I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Illustration. In the past few years my focus has been on whimsical art that would be suited to children’s literature, but I hope that everything I paint from serious to lighthearted tells a story. I love the idea that you can look at a picture and be drawn into another world, one that may be preposterous but feels like an adventure.
I currently reside in Austin, Texas and work as a freelance artist. Other activities I find myself enjoying include; gardening, subduing chicken rebellions, baking bread, adventuring in the outdoors (read: getting lost) and enjoying my delightful community of friends and neighbors.
